Coinbase has embarked on a significant new phase in its international growth strategy. On June 20, 2025, the U.S.-based cryptocurrency exchange revealed that it has obtained a MiCA license in Luxembourg.
This license, granted by the financial regulatory authority of Luxembourg, positions Coinbase among the initial major cryptocurrency firms to fully comply with the European Union's recently established MiCA regulations.
